![]() With the Summer 2013 update, a new method of leveling the Medic perk in solo games has become available. The other option is to join a large server on a medium to high difficulty where players tend to incur large amounts of damage. Having a partner (or partners) who are willing to help will allow for the fastest way of leveling. Players can level the field medic alone but must rely on the medical grenades, as self-injections with the syringe do not count to the total heal requirements. Your best bet is to work with a tight-knit team and stand at the back of the group with a view of them all, and healing the front-liners from a distance with your medi-gun, switching to the syringe and running up closer to help if things get too hairy. ![]() However, one should not get too overzealous in trying to supplement the sharpshooter’s role, since without the damage bonuses, you won’t be one-shotting fleshpounds, and will only serve to enrage them instead, making them harder to kill for sharpshooters. A good strategy as a medic may be to carry a crossbow as a backup to help support the team against fleshpounds and scrakes, especially on the lower difficulties. The bad news here, is that they won’t be making a lot of money each round by killing specimens, but the good news is that they won’t be spending a lot of money either buying weapons, ammo, or armor, due to their armor discount and lack of need for higher-tier weapons. That said, they depend on their team entirely to kill the specimens attacking them, as they have no attack bonuses with any weapon, and even a level-6 medic won’t last long using the MP7 medi-gun. The Field Medic is an invaluable asset to a team on harder difficulties, and their medical syringe gets a substantial increase in payload and reload. ![]() Killing Floor Field Medic Perk Strategy & How to Level Up Strategy
